Regarding cloud computing revenue, Microsoft is a leading provider, followed by AWS and Google Cloud. In Q2 2024, these three cloud providers generated 73.4 billion in revenue.

Microsoft leads with growth in the Azure segment, but intelligent cloud and overall cloud growth rates are comparable to AWS growth. Google Cloud has experienced high growth, but its revenue numbers are low.

AI contribution to cloud growth for Microsoft has increased q-o-q. In Q2 2024, it contributed 8% to overall growth.

Microsoft is able to run its intelligent cloud business most efficiently, followed by AWS and Google Cloud.

All three major cloud providers((Microsoft, AWS, Google) strive to reduce their reliance on NVIDIA for AI chips and gain an early advantage in the chip market. The three big cloud providers have unveiled their custom chips and plan to release a better version in the coming year.

Microsoft's large tech product portfolio, early investments in AI, and significant relationships with enterprises are helping it stay ahead of its competition.
